Story
We have been lucky enough to be selected to take part in EWB's design summit in Cambodia. As part of this summit, we aim to learn about humanitarian engineering and its benefits to local communities. This aligns well with Arup's community engagement efforts and our aim to make valuable contributions to society.
This fundraising campaign is an attempt to raise awareness of EWB Australia's International Development Programmes. These include:
- Empowering women in engineering in Timor-Leste.
- Bringing in solar power into remote communities in Cambodia.
- Social enterprise projects in Cambodia, bringing clean energy and health benefits to rural communities.
- Working with local partners to create sanitation solutions in difficult geographical areas.
- Assisting engineers and technical professionals with professional development in Timor.
- Other projects creating employment, and solving environmental issues.
More information can be found here: https://www.ewb.org.au/whatwedo/engineering-with-communities/international-projects
If you're like us - interested in humanitarian engineering and helping vulnerable communities - please donate so that together we can make a difference!
Thank you.
Kathryn, Marcus and Salma.
