Story
As many of you are aware our good friend Ed Isaac collapsed on his way to work in London on November 17th 2016 and suffered a massive brain haemorrhage. He underwent life saving surgery and is currently undergoing intensive rehabilitation at a local neurological centre. He continues to make amazing progress and is hoping to return home to his wife Emma and their 3 children soon. Ed is currently reliant on a wheelchair and has very limited movement down the left hand side of his body.
When this happened lots of people offered their help and support but there was little anyone could do at the time. To enable Ed to come home we now need to ask for that help and any support would be gratefully received.
Their home needs to undergo some necessary adaptations, most importantly a downstairs wet room and bedroom. Also, once Ed is home he will require ongoing intensive therapy to ensure he continues to make progress.
We are asking for any donations to enable these adapations to take place as soon as possible and also towards his ongoing therapy once he is home, allowing the Isaacs to become a family once again.
Ed has already come such a long way, but his recovery is a continual journey and any support will be of great help.
Thank you
Ang & Catherine

7 years agoHi everyone, we wanted to let you know that Ed's surgery didn't go ahead today. He is one of those who has been affected by the NHS computer hacking incident. We are hoping for a new date soon. Thank you all for your good wishes and continued support. Xx

7 years agoOn Saturday Ed reaches another milestone in his treatment when he returns to the Royal London Hospital for surgery to fit a plate into the place where his skull was removed for emergency brain surgery. Following this surgery the plan is get Ed home as soon as he is well enough, hopefully the beginning of June, so we really need to keep momentum going to allow Emma and the relevant services to prepare. If you can, please donate.

7 years agoAmazing!! Thank you all so very much, in just 13 days we have met our initial target. Ed's needs for coming home are long term so we are going to keep going. There are some fundraising activities we have plannned which we will share as they develop. Anything we can do to make Ed's journey home smoother and easier as well as help to cover the ongoing rehab needs is so gratefully received by Ed, Emma and the kids. Thank you xxx
