On June 7th 2024 #TeamEden will be walking a choice of 6, 13 or a huge 26 miles to help raise funds for our chosen charities! We’re taking to the Brecon Beacons for this mammoth undertaking - starting by the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal at Talybont-on-Usk our 26 mile team will head out & up to Bryn Melyn then following the water of Talybont Reservoir and Caerfanell they’ll eventually loop around to take in Fan y Big, Craig Cwareli and Craig y Fan Ddu.

The 13 mile and 6 mile teams will join along the way, sweeping back to walk alongside, and taking in, the reservoir views. Hopefully the beautiful scenery will be enough to distract from any aching limbs or sore feet and everyone will follow a final loop to the top of the route before heading back to Talybont-on-Usk, where much-needed refreshments will await!

Who are our chosen charities? Every year Eden choses two charities to support - elected by everyone in #TeamEden this year they are The Daylight Centre Fellowship in Wellingborough and Cynon Valley P.A.L.S in Aberdare.

Both are extremely deserving charities; The Daylight Centre Fellowship works to prepare adults impacted by homelessness, poverty and social exclusion for healthier, happier independent futures - providing a Community Hub, Foodbank, Daylight Charity Shop and Venue Hire. Driven by a dedicated team many volunteer hours contribute to making meals for the homeless and numerous food parcels for those in need in the community around North Northamptonshire.

Cynon Valley P.A.L.S. works with disabled children and their families across South Wales. They run holiday playschemes where families can take part in a range of activities in a relaxed and supportive environment, aswell as soft play sessions and the hiring out of trampoline parks and children’s play centres. They also run family trips, allowing families to spend much needed time together.
