    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Edlumino is a registered charity.(1166131)

We believe every child has a right to education no matter what their circumstances. Our volunteers are experienced, qualified teachers who have been working in refugee camps in Calais and Dunkirk.

We are currently raising funds to open a similar school in Greece where conditions in the refugee camps are very tough. Imagine losing your home, your belongings, some – or all – of your family and you have no access to anything that will improve your life.

Would you donate the price of your cup of coffee today* to help us give children who have lost everything a better shot at the future?

*to set up the school and fund the fares and lodgings of three teachers costs £140,000. If 70,000 people donate £2 each we could start work within 2 weeks. You’re very welcome to donate more if you’d like to!

Everyone who works for us is a volunteer and so your donation goes directly towards supplying children with desperately needed education.

In France, in December 2015 we found children living and playing in sewage and mud. We set up a school in an unheated, donated army tent and six months later had provided lessons to over 500 children and moved into a wooden classroom in La Liniere, France and supported children into the local schools.

After visiting Greece there is much we can do there. There are camps with no education or childrens activities. Children who are missing out on the vital years of education and losing hope in their futures.

Our teachers volunteer their time, but they need help with costs and materials. With a little money we can do so much.

See more on our website and social media.

Thank you, on behalf of us all,

    Edlumino Team.

Thank you so much for everyone who has donated so far. We have a campaign asking people to donate us the price of a cup of coffee to give a child a shot at education. Please share our story and that of the refugee children we support. There is so much to do in Greece. Just last week another camp was in touch asking for support but we have not got the resources to send teachers out. With help we can continue to give these Children access to education and most importantly qualifications.
