So me and Ellie took part in Tough Mudder in May and have decided do X-Runner in September to try and raise some money for the Neonatal unit in the process.

Ellie's twin brothers were born on the 13th July (10 weeks early) at Burnley Hospital after an emergency C-section. With only weighing 2lb 7oz and 3lb 7oz the boys stayed at the Neonatal Unit where they stayed in intensive care for over a month being fed through tubes, where they were then transferred to Lancaster hospital until they were ready to leave. During this time the staff were amazing and the boys are now fit and healthy, so we thought it would be nice to give something back as a thank you. More money for the units means more money for staff or even neonatal beds, which gives these children a real chance at life when they haven't been given the best start. These babies are so little and it would be the best thing ever to try and help give these little lives a fighting chance! If you know anyone who has had a child stay in neonatal you will know the stress families go through and what amazing things these units do to help these children.
