I was recently at a friend's house re-attaching her radiator to the wall, and i was talking to her daughter Ellie, 11 and asked her what she has asked santa for. She replied with "a grown up girlie bedroom for myself"

Ellie shares her bedroom with her 2 brothers (14 and 19) She lives with her Mum who is a single parent and the local council have refused to move the family, despite being on the housing list since NOVEMBER 2003!!!!! 13 years!! I was shocked to hear this, and shocked to hear that the council wouldn't help to divide the big bedroom into 2 separate rooms, instead they told Ellie's mum to "be grateful she had a home"
She had a meeting 8 years ago and was given expectations of being moved and this hasn't happened.
Ellie's Mum is Ellie's Nan's Carer, and over the past 2 years also has had lots of trips to hospital with her eldest son, who has CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) and has lost more than half of his weight in 2 years.

4 years ago the council "regenerated" the area but made the house worse, the plaster is cracking in the kitchen, they took the back door off and replaced it with an INTERIOR door (not safe)
The kitchen ceiling even fell down on Ellie's oldest brother who was 14 at the time. There is no proper back door on the house. Someone broke the window trying to break in and the council have refused to fix it. There is damp and mould

The Kids room has no handles on the windows and is a MASSIVE fire risk - Council refuse to replace them. They wont even give Ellie's older brother a bus pass to go to school! and that costs Ellie's mum £25 a week from her benefits, and soon, When Ellie goes big school will be £50 a week in buses

I Will do all work free, of course we cant do 1 half of the room and not the other, help me to help this well deserving family!!
