Story
After Emma was feeling unwell her doctors referred her to an optician who found the swelling on her brain, only 24hours later hers and the whole family's lives were turned upside down.
Emma was rushed to Newcastle RVI for a brain surgery to remove a tumour, later it was found to have been cancerous. The following weeks have resulted in her having a 6 week course of Radiotherapy followed by the Chemotherapy treatment which will result in many hours of being in hospital.
This page is here so we can give Emma and her family something to look forward to so that when her treatment is over she will be able to have a holiday away with her family, this thought is going to be helping her get through the treatment ahead of her and hopefully give her the strength to keep fighting this all the way.

7 years agoHi, The page time is nearly at an end now, Emma is half way through her Chemo treatment now, 2 down, 2 to go, the last one was very rough, lots of sickness and worry all round, but she has fought her way through it and is now having a nice few days at home before round 3 starts next week. Thank you to all who have donated, it will make for a great holiday after the treatment is completed, Emma does spend time looking and planning what to do when she is well enough. Thanks from all concerned xxx

7 years agoBit of an update to everyone, Emma has been in the RVI for 3 weeks for her first lot of Chemotherapy, it hasnt been a smooth ride so far, unfortunately there has been some infections for her to fight off as well as the treatment to get through, she's still fighting so bravely through temperatures, sickness, constant checks and not much sleep. This does affect the whole family so deeply and i know this fundraising is helping them all to see something bright at the end of this long journey they are all on.
