Help send Ethan and his family on a holiday to Florida - Ethan Burnley who is 8 years old is struggling with a rare syndrome, Aarskog. Only a minority of our huge populations sadly has this disease, precisely only 12 children are known to have it in the whole of the UK. (His twin brothers also have the syndrome). The syndrome has left poor Ethan, with very slight autism and he is slowly losing his sight, sadly resulting in a loss of eye sight forever by the predicted age of 10 or sooner. Mobility problems are also part of his illness, he finds walking and especially running a huge and tiring task. Shopping for what we take for granted is difficult especially for shoes as this isn't simple for little Ethan. He has had 3 operations to help move his legs but sadly it has not helped him yet. Shoe shopping is challenging because his feet are unable to fit in normal shoes, meaning he has special ones made for him at the hospital. However as he's such a huge Bournemouth football fan, he bravely forced his feet into trainers to enable him to play football. Due to the severe pain in his legs, Ethan manages school but it's difficult for him as be only has 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night due to the pain. As he is due more surgery to improve his mobility, it will result in more time away from school, which is sad as he really needs school, to keep him motivated and happy. If his operations weren't done he would end up in a wheelchair, which shows you how crucial they are. His caring family are trying to make as many happy memories for poor Ethan before his sight is upsettingly taken away from him for good.
