In October my wife Lisa, my 16 year old son Kai and myself Derek are taking on probably our toughest challenge yet with a 12 day trek to Everest basecamp in Nepal. It is a huge, dangerous, once in a lifetime challenge for any adult so for my son Kai it will be a phenomenal achievement.

We know how lucky we are to have an opportunity to do this and would love to help others who aren't so lucky and have decided to raise money for the Hamilton foodbank and my son's football team, Newmains Utd, Dallies Community Larder helping those around the Newmains and Wishaw area.

My youngest son Kier has already raised money himself to start off our fundraising and just under £1000 will be added to start us off.
