    Iʼve raised £195 to support the fundraising efforts of FOWSA for Wawne School, by some of the parents running the Walkington 10k on 14th July 2017.

    Story

    We have enlisted some 'willing' mums and dads to take part in a 10k Run in order to raise funds to support FOWSA. Some of the runners will be running this distance for the first time ever.

    FOWSA 'Friends of Wawne Primary School', Is the Parent and teacher assiciation for Wawne Primary School. We have charitable status and we work to provide activities and resources for the parents and children. Wawne Primary School who has 112 pupils and serves a wide community as far as Kingswood and North Bransholme. FOWSA support the school by supplying free bookbags, funding books for the school/home reading scheme, subsidising school trips especially for those on low incomes, an annual visit to the panto. We also organise lots of activities for the children, including film nights, Easter bingo and a Halloween party.

    Our aim is to contribute towards the success of our school and make it a welcoming and supportive place for all parents and children.

    Any support given is greatly appreciated.

    Currently taking part are Jessica Laud, Jonathan Laud, Leanne Pexton, Nena Ketley, Nikki Boxall, Anne-Marie Eastburn.
