What is crowdfunding?

Story
I am currently a volunteer librarian at both Featherby infant and nursery school and featherby Junior School. I have spent months organising and tidying the library in both schools but many of the books are outdated and need replacing. I will be running Brighton marathon in spring to raise money for the libraries and hope you can all support me by donating whatever you can spare - all money raised will be used for new books and resources for the libraries in both schools. Reading is such an important skill for children and I hope to inspire all the children in both schools to enjoy reading as much as I always have

1 year agoI did it! I completed the marathon in 4 hrs 50mins! The day was an unexpectedly hot 21oC which made for tricky running conditions but even after an asthma attack part way through I remained determined and still managed to finish in under 5 hours. I'm feeling very proud - not just of myself but every single one of my supporters, sponsors and all those cheering us along on the day! All the pain is worth it as the fundraising has been amazing well supported and I can't wait to see all the lovely new books! 😃
