I've raised £300 to build a new pathway from Ferndown leisure centre car park to the main King George V path.

My son, Dominic (age 6) will be trying to run 2km around the King George fields in order to raise some money to put in a new pathway from the Ferndown leisure centre car park to link up with the main pathway through the King George V playing fields.
We noticed that during the winter months that the grass between the leisure centre and the main pathway was water logged and extremely muddy. In the past we have seen children walking to the 3 schools fall over and come out with wet and muddy shoes or walk in the road into the traffic to get to the main pathway.
This is something that will not just benefit the students at the 3 schools but will also benefit the wider community, particularly those with buggies and individuals with mobility needs.
We have the backing from the local council and KGV committee, however we would need to raise some funds towards the cost of the pathway. The aim is to put in a gravel pathway for the winter and then later, when council funds allow, tarmac the path.
Many thanks for the support.
