Story
CESHEO is a grassroots charity(Registered NGO number 868) that provides a free education to over 750 students in Cambodia.
One of the Fit3Sixty members volunteered at CESHEO in 2014 teaching English for 3 months and has seen first hand not only the impact these schools make, but how far every penny goes.
The wonderful thing about CESHEO is that it was set up by a local TukTuk driver, Rady, and has grown through his love and support for the local children, it is far from a commercial national charity - everything about it is local. Everything in and around the school is done by volunteers including the teaching, building, website, administration etc... Rady and his family live in a hut outside of their own home so that the volunteers have somewhere to sleep.
The children are incredible and deserve to have a great education to enable them to create a brighter future for themselves. If we can raise enough money to build a classroom - that is 60 children a day getting education!
For many £1500 is a family holiday...a deposit on a new car... a year's gym membership...£1500 in this instance could be a new kitted out classroom, and 60 children receiving education to better their chances in life.
