It goes without saying that this past year and a half has been the most difficult of my life.

Some of you have witnessed my real inner struggles and emotions whilst to most I may have hidden it well and coated it with humour. Either way, it feels right to channel all of this into something positive, something to focus on and something to make my Mum proud of.

With this I give you ‘Five4FiftyFive’.

On the 4th July, this year, I will be running 5k each day for 55 days.

The 55 representing the amount of days my Mum was in hospital, on her own, unable to see any family or friends after suffering a stroke.

Although this challenge will be a real struggle for me (a completely un-fit non-runner 😆) this will be incomparable to what my Mum went through during those 55 days and this will be solely dedicated to her.

All money raised will be going to the Stroke rehabilitation ward and will be focused on combating patient loneliness.

Each day I’ll be running with someone different - for those that would like to take part please let me know and I’ll be posting details in the next few days.
