Story
Jim Taylor, our Dad fell ill with pneumonia in late December 2019 going into January 2020. He had a stay in hospital and once he was well enough to leave he went into Forest View Care home for respite so mum could fully rest. Dad sadly has Alzheimers (diagnosed in June 2016) and in June this year we had to as a family make the heart breaking decision to put dad into care as a permanent resident. We are so thankful that Forest View could accommodate him as he knew it from respite and he used to go there for day care activities a few days a week. We knew he would be well looked after. The staff there are fabulous and we want to do our bit to give back and say thank you, so we have set up this fundraiser so we can buy the residents some books, puzzles and activities.
Please donate what you can to help the staff keep the fabulous residents occupied, especially at this time where visiting is very restricted. I haven't seen my dad since 6th June and not sure when I will be able to. He will celebrate his 72nd birthday on 6th August without any of us with him. 😔
Please help a fantastic cause. We appreciate any donation.
