Story
In 2008, My mum was diagnosed with Dementia, With nowhere to go we decided to set up a Monthly Forgotten Regulars Group at The Union Arms Tyldesley. We provide a free lunch, dessert & hot drinks to everyone who attends, We have a live singer also. In 2018 we took our group to The Ballroom Tower at Blackpool, One of our couples had actually gone there for their honeymoon it was such a special moment for them both. Its so heartwarming to see people affected by this disease with a smile on their faces. We fund this entirely ourselves & we do fundraising events to help with the costs. Sadly in 2016 we lost our mum to this awful disease, But we carry on for those who are still affected daily and we will carry on for as long as we can.
We have set up this page as many people have seen our story on BBC Breakfast this morning and asked to donate! Thank you so much to everyone for your kind messages and support.
