Story
We will be walking over 75 miles between market harborough and the wash at fosdyke over the space of three days in September.
It’s going to be tough and hard work but there’s a reason for this.
We want your help !
We are reaching out on behalf of John’s grandson a brave and resilient 10 year old boy named Freddie who is courageously fighting against leukaemia.
Freddie is a typical young boy, full of life, laughter and according to John sometimes very naughty ! !
You can see from the pictures his smile lights up any room and his spirit is nothing short of inspiring. However, his life journey has been marred over the last 10 months by the relentless challenges and ravages of battling leukaemia, Freddie has already faced more pain and hardship than most of us will ever know.
The medical treatments necessary to combat this aggressive disease are extensive and long, Freddie’s treatment program requires him to undertake chemotherapy for 2.6 years, take specialised medications and make far too frequent hospital visits.
These treatments are physically and emotionally draining on him and his family but through it all he still smiles because he knows how much his family love him, he loves them right back and hates seeing them upset.
Because of these issues Freddie’s mum Leanne has had to take a break from her job as a cancer nurse specialising in urology/oncology
Freddie means everything to his family, he is their world.
We are reaching out to compassionate individuals like you in the hope of securing sponsorship to fund a dream trip for him and his mum to Disneyland Paris.
Your generous support will give Freddie something to look forward to and provide him with strength and hope during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for reading this, it means everything. Your kindness and generosity will make a difference to Freddie during his battle with cancer. I know together, we can give him the chance to dream, laugh, and live the vibrant life every child deserves.
Look at the pictures and think, any contribution, no matter how small is appreciated.
