The Counselling and Therapy Centre at St. Barnabas House is going to double in size!! For fifteen years the Centre has helped a great many people with all sorts of problems. We have seen people who are depressed, anxious, traumatised or breaking their hearts. We have helped children deal with bullies and broken homes. Others have been helped to relax with aromatherapy or benefitted from pregnancy massage or baby massage or osteopathy. We are not a charity or part of the NHS, but entirely self-supporting.

The Centre has been offered the opportuniity to develop the ground floor and it is an opportunity we feel we have to take. It will give us a large meeting/traianing room, ground floor access for the less able clients and improved facilities for everybody.

Big project! Big risk! So St. Barnabas House will need Friends! We will need people who care about keeping the Centre going to do a bit of fund raising of whatever sort to tide us over the first couple of years or so of incresed costs and overheads while the advantages of the expansion catch up!

Friends of St. Barnabas House has been set up for just this purpose. All sorts of fund raising may occur to you! Boot fairs, cake stalls, sponsored walks or slimming... However large or small the project, we would be so, so grateful and it will allow our counsellors and therapists to continue to provide a first class professional service to our community!
