We’re raising £15,000 for Greenfingers Wildlife Initiative (Play4Pangolin Campaign)

THE CHALLENGE

Pangolins are facing unprecedented threats due to illegal trafficking, habitat loss, and the increasing demand for scales and meat. Pangolins are now regarded as the World Most Trafficked Mammal with millions of individuals lost every year

In Nigeria, the tale is NOT so different – pangolins are being captured and killed in their numbers and make up the wild trade.

THEY ARE IMPORTANT

These unique creatures play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance by controlling insect population, yet they are on the brink of extinction

WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

Over the past three years, we have initiated conservation initiatives protecting pangolins, curbing the local trade, rescuing, rehabilitating and raising awareness about the plight of the species

We have successfully rescued, nurtured and released over 40 pangolins in three years and yet, due to lack of awareness, more pangolins still fall prey to this menace
