Greig's family, together with friends and colleagues have united to found the "Greig Steven Memorial" as a tribute to such a brave and beautiful soul.

Greig Steven was 25 years old when he was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Six months later, he lost his life to this silent killer.


The aim of the memorial is to intensely fundraise in order to build a house which will be available as a retreat and place of relaxation for those battling cancer accompanied by their loved ones. Cancer not only results in devastating physical and emotional stress, but also impacts on the working life which can take its toll financially. At such a difficult time, a free of charge break away with loved ones to relax and detach from the clinical environment can be a much needed and welcomed escape.

At this stage our 5 year plan is to have raised enough funds in order to purchase land and have built "Greig's House." Greig loved nature, the outdoors and the tranquillity that this brought to his life. We would like the house to reflect this and give those making use of it, a truly restful and mindful time away.

All donations will be used to purchase a plot of land, go towards design fees, building materials and labour costs, running and maintenance costs. We want the house to be built and finished to the highest of standards so that those using it are surrounded by comfort.
