Story
I’m passionately trying to help a local family that I know.
Steph, Bri, their teenage daughter Nyah and their two young children live on Charnwood Street in Sutton. Micah is 6 and has a very rare chromosome disorder, Jossie is 5 and has Down Syndrome and is a heart warrior having had open heart surgery at a young age. They’ve lived in this house for quite a few years now and always intended to improve the garden however with two young children with additional needs and severe health complications it hasn’t been high on their priority list. Their back garden is not in a useable state and it breaks my heart that they, especially Jossie and Micah, are confined to the house because of this - they have no outdoor space to play. Bri works long hours to support the family and Steph is a full time carer to the little ones, therefore I can’t see them having the time in the near future to sort their garden.
If our community can join together to improve their garden, it would truly change their lives for the better.
Ideally they need a fence putting up, the ground levelling off and grass seed or turf laying - I’d love there to be a lawn for Jossie and Micah to play on by the Summer!
