We are trying to prevent the destruction of the rainforests through deforestation which damages the habitats for many animals and trying to stop the hunting which goes on in the forests.

I care about this because the beautiful rainforests will be cut dramatically in size and eventually if the problem continues many species will be under threat of extinction and be found without habitats.

Not in our lifetimes, but hopefully future generations will see the difference.

It will be used to fund the research and data collection needed to apply for long term funding to protect the Calakmul forests and wildlife from deforestation and hunting.
