    Story

My name is Jackie and I am hoping you may be able to help.

Give & Gain Day is a global day encouraging employers to give their staff time to volunteer and help local good causes, tackle social and environmental issues and make a positive difference in their communities.

On Give & Gain Day last year in Wales, over 1,000 employees from 53 businesses volunteered and supported over 80 community partners, charities and local organisations. Collectively employees gave over 7,600 hours of their time to community projects, the value of which is estimated at over £87,000. In collaboration with Business in the Community (BiTC) we are looking for donations to help provide the necessary equipment to make a difference on Give and Gain day on 20th May 2016.

This year we are looking to provide a Casino afternoon at Llanhennock Lodge Care Home.

Llanhennock Lodge is managed by Leonard Cheshire Disability, a not-for-profit organisation. The home is on the outskirts of the town of Caerleon, set in its own grounds and accessed by a short driveway.

The Lodge provides support for up to 34 physically disabled people over the age of 18 years, requiring nursing or personal care needs. It specialises in supporting people with a variety of conditions including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy, head/brain injury, hearing impairment, Huntington’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, speech impairment, spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

    What we need:

    Roulette Wheel

    Cards

    Decorations/Table Covers/Posters etc.

    Raffle prizes

    Buffet food Non-alcoholic Fizz

    Prizes

Any help you can provide will make a huge difference to the experience for these residents. I appreciate this is a big ask but if you can help please get in touch!

    Many Thanks

    Jackie Kempson

Hi everyone! So far we have had lots of donations of Raffle prizes from local businesses and I can't thank them enough! We still need to raise funds to help buy equipment and other items for the day. Please can you spare just £1? That's less than a bag of chips or a cup of coffee
