Story

Since my last update in May; outlining Graham’s radiotherapy treatment for his throat cancer, he has had the results of his tests and it is bad news.

The cancer is still in his throat and unfortunately this has spread to his lymph nodes and lungs. He will be undergoing treatment for this to prolong his life from 6 months expected without the treatment to max 2 years.

Maxine and his close family are in shock and taking this all in. Graham has decided that he will retire from his shop with immediate effect to spend his remaining time with his family so sadly we will not be having him back.

He wanted me to thank you all for the amazing times he has had in the village and it's been a wonderful journey with you.

It’s simply devastating to hear this and I cannot imagine life in the village without that bear of a man making us laugh aloud, now making us cry.

The original Fundraising for him on JustGiving raised an amazing £4,000 to help him through his treatment whilst he had no earnings. This was a lifeline for Graham and Maxine and they were truly grateful and humbled by your support.

Now I am asking you to join me in setting up a fund for Graham and Maxine to make the most of Graham’s remaining time and perhaps do some bucket list things, link below, trying to raise £10,000.

Graham wanted me to give out his contact details if you wish to contact him yourself: Graham Brewster 18 Nursery Road, Ditton, Kent ME20 6EA. 07588 731114
