Grant "Sammy" Coutts is one of the most down to earth genuine guys you will ever meet. A real family man, hard working and as straightforward as you could hope for. Grant has been a dedicated hard grafting bodybuilder all his adult life..winning many many trophies with his compact solid chiselled quality physique. A bodybuilding career that culminated with a 3rd place at the Universe competition last year.
Tragically Grant has been diagnosed with a very serious Cancer. He has already been through surgery to remove a tumour the size of a grapefruit from his liver. The cancer has spread to the lymph nodes and beyond. Realistically Grant is now looking at trying to enjoy the time he has left. As I write this Grant is trying a new immunotherapy drug. Should it "work" he has between 1 and 3 years left. If it does not work then things are looking very bleak and time is of the essence. As a Cancer survivor I can tell you first hand how dark these times are. The thought of leaving your loved ones is heartbreaking. Grant has a wee boy who will struggle to remember his dad as he grows up. Kerrie, his partner has been a devoted Mother and companion for years.
The money we hope to raise is to send Grant and his family on a holiday of a lifetime. One last big chance to make memories that will stay live and vivid in the hearts of his family long after Grant has gone.
