Story

We are a newly created small charity based in the North East of England. Our mission being to provide financial support towards veterinary care for the wonderful animals that work in both the Police and Fire and Rescue Services in the North East.

Many people don't realise that upon retirement of a service dog, the person who takes on these animals, whether this be their handler or a member of the public; do not receive any financial support from the Police or Fire Service that they have served with. Sadly, they also do not qualify for pet insurance that many pet owners rely upon.

The reality therefore, is that their owners become responsible for all financial costs, which, as you can imagine can run into thousands of pounds when medical care is required. Our aim is to raise awareness and fundraise in order to provide as much financial assistance as possible to ensure that these four legged heroes receive the best medical care possible as they enter their golden years.

As a newly created charity we are still in the very early stages of building our fundraising and support network however please follow our instagram and Facebook page to keep up to date with all our progress!
