Story
Guyana 2017! In the summer of 2017, 7 students from the University of Glasgow will be carrying out 5 weeks of research in the remote Kanuku montane rainforest of Guyana. There is very little known about this region, this is why it is crucial work to obtain knowledge of what kind of animal species are present.
We are trying to raise £20 000 overall, with hopefully £15 000 from grant awarding bodies and charitable foundations. This budget is high but we have a team of 7 people to feed, travel expenses to an extremely remote area and lots of equipment to bring along to carry out the exciting research!
Therefore anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated as we need to actively fundraise £5000 on our own!
Suggested donations:
£50
£100
£250
£500
Any major donors (>£500) will be contacted and invited to an exicting pre-expedition event to discuss the project and will recieve a report and meeting after we return!
