Prepare your tributes... The Hakim Games are returning!

So what's the plan? On Sunday 31st July, we will be carrying out the Hakim Group Games Part II...Catching foam at The Haling Dene Centre in Staffordshire.

It will be a competitive day full of fun and games with various events from Nordic Skiing to Super Suds. Everybody is free to join us... the more the merrier!

The customary Hakim Group Family BBQ will be on throughout the afternoon and early evening. We encourage everyone to attend and bring friends and family along with them. It'll be a great opportunity to meet the rest of the team and have a fun day out...

This year we will be fundraising for two very deserving causes.

1) Vision Aid Overseas

10% of the world's population are visually impaired because they cannot get the glasses they need. Without adequate correction (a pair of glasses), this impairment often becomes a permanent disability.

Vision Aid Overseas works with each country to provide sustainable services offering a long term solution. they do this by setting up Vision Centres, training local people to provide eye care services and using the expertise of volunteer UK optical professionals to develop outreach programmes in remote areas.

2) North West Relief Trust - Helping Hands

The humanitarian activities of NWRT enables access to life's most basic needs to areas where poverty is unfortunately a way of life. Due to extreme poverty in these areas the required medical treatment for life's most basic needs, such as eyesight, is not possible for thousands of people.

NWRT identifies one of the first steps in helping these areas is to help them regain their sight through providing cataract operations. This enables these individuals to look after themselves as well as provide for their families.
