Story
So as some of our friends and family know, when our beautiful daughter Harriet was born things were not as we imagined.
When Harriet was born she found it hard to adjust to life outside the womb. She was given help when she was born by the amazing doctors and nurses but her real journey began in the neonatal ward.
We had many ups and downs in the short time she was in the ward but the staff always made it seem ok. To leave your newborn baby with a bunch of strangers and trust that they would do the best for her and at that stage even a better job than us as parents could do for her was and will always be one of the hardest things we have ever done.
Myself and Richard feel we have so much to thank the neonatal ward for as they didn't just save Harriet's life they safed ours too.
They listened to us when we just wanted to let it all out, they answered our countless and often useless and pointless questions and they gave us back our beautiful and healthy daughter.
For this we want to say thanks and we feel a small way to do this is to hold a fundraiser and a charity event.
On the 11th of March 2017 we are holding a charity night dedicated to the neonatal ward, we have the amazing and funny Richard Nelson the hypnotist, an auction, raffle and the talented Darren Coyle doing our race night and disco.
More info and tickets to follow but for now I'd like to get the fundraiser started. Any donations will be hugely welcome and all money from ticket sales will go to the neonatal ward.
Thanks again Amy, Richard and Harriet
