I was so lucky to be Harvey's mother and to have a son who was so beautiful in every way, but it also makes losing him so much harder.

Last year we received the most devastating news any parent or family could ever imagine: our precious Harvey lost his life in a tragic car crash. Our lives will never be the same again and he's left a huge void nothing will ever be able to fill.

Harvey was the most caring, gentle young man, and he will be missed more than words can ever express. He had such a passion for life, including his love for playing guitar. Harvey had so much to offer the world, and his life was just beginning, which makes his loss even more painful and heartbreaking.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated through the JustGiving page. Your generosity means more to us than we can put into words. Please know that every penny raised, along with donations from Harvey's funeral, will be used for his charity: Shine On with Harvey Owen. The funds raised will be fed into music and arts projects where young people need financial support. We want to ensure that many others have the opportunity to develop their talents and passions, just as Harvey did.

Harvey had many interests throughout his life, and he always pushed himself to excel in whatever he pursued. More recently, he had dreams of opening his own bread shop or Italian-themed café and was thriving in the kitchen at his cheffing jobs alongside college. He also dreamed of one day forming his own music band.

Harvey deeply valued his guitar lessons, and we know he would be thrilled to see other young people given the same opportunities to explore and develop their skills—whether in music, cookery, or any other passion they may have. Through your donations, we hope to make this possible and continue Harvey’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and self-belief.
