Story
On the 26th of July 2016, Freddie Jacob Bunce-Jones was born: slightly earlier than expected! Never the less, devoted Mum Leah and Dad Stephen loved him unconditionally as he was their first child.
Little Freddie weighed less than 1lb when he was born. This meant he had some fighting to do. He put up a brave fight for life for two weeks, but sadly, he was not ready for this world. After two weeks in the care of the amazing doctors and nurses at Alderhey Children's hospital, Freddie peacfully passed on the 8th of August 2016 surrounded by his family and held by his Mum and Dad.
I never thought I'd ever be writing a story like this in my life about my little brother Stephen and his beautiful family Leah and Freddie.
This is why I'm asking for your help. Stephen and Leah have been shattered by their loss. I went home this weekend to Beaumaris to see both parents struggling with their grief but putting such brave faces on every day to their families in their work places and with in their community. We spoke of Freddie, and Stephen mentioned, one day, being able to provide little Freddie with his own memorial stone but it wouldn't be for a long time as they had no money to buy one.
Stephen and Leah are well loved in their community, and although we may not be able to take all of their pain and hurt away, I would love for our community to support and provide Stephen and Leah with a little bit of relief to buy a memorial stone for Freddie.
I haven't told Stephen and Leah that I am crowd funding for them. What I will tell them is that on the 27th of December 2016 they will be required to come to the Bulkeley hotel, Beaumaris.
I invite you all to come for 7pm and whatever we raise, present our gift to the couple and raise a toast in memory of their little boy Freddie.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and no matter how big or small your contribution a massive thank you for being apart of Freddie's memorial.
