Story
In 2010, I suffered the loss of my 3 year old daughter to an unknown cause. I found her in her bed on the 22nd June 2010, something no parent should EVER have to go through. Although I tried to use CPR, I was unsuccessful as she was too far gone.
Since then, I have dedicated a great deal of my time to try and prevent other families from the tragedy of a sudden cardiac death and this project is one that is about training the majority to help the minority of people who have a cardiac condition which are quite often undetected until such tragedy occurs.
In 2017 will see the launch of the CTSDA (Community Tang Soo Do Association) Hearts Warriors Project.
The project is to arrange for training on how to use a public access defibrillator (Known as an AED) for people in the general public during our events.
We have sourced an external provider (British Red Cross) that offer a CERTIFIED training course that is valid for three years on AED training and life support (for those who are not first aid trained) which is a 3.5 hour long course.
SPECIAL CROWDFUNDING OFFER: A £50 donation will secure you a place on this training course - Please leave a name and send me an email to I can confirm your spot on the next available training session.
To kick start this project, we are trying to raise the first £500 so that a session can take place at the first CTSDA Heart Warriors National Championships in January 2017. Each session can only hold a maximum of 15 people (age 16+).
Please do give generously and also share this page as much as possible. Every £500 is a training session.
