Weʼve raised £3,320 to Pay for life saving treatment for Heidi Entlebucher

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Heidi is 7 months old. She was born with the serious health condition ectopic ureter, where the lines from the kidneys enter the bladder below the valve, leaving her incontinent and risking a life threatening kidney infection. She now needs life saving surgery at the Animal Health Trust in Cambridge, after which she should have the opportunity of a long, happy and pain free life.
Heidi is a lovely gentle dog, good with children and likes nothing more than to be cuddled. She has already had one major operation, but needs a second one to complete her treatment.
    The surgery is tricky.
At the very least her Urethra will be repaired and tone will be seen in her bladder sphincter with the dye. This will mean, that once surgically correct, there is no physical reason that she should not recover well following (home) physio and medication.
It is possible that the urethra cannot be repaired and has to be shortened, which will also involve a procedure where Heidi's bladder is pulled forward.
We think that the worst case scenario is that no tone is seen in Heidi's bladder sphincter or ureters which will mean that she will have an instrument called a hydraulic excluder inserted into her bladder, which is effectively a false bladder sphincter.
You can follow Heidi's progress at https://www.facebook.com/HeidiEntle/
Please help to give Heidi a long, happy and pain free life.
