Weʼve raised £535 to Help pay for Hamish’s veterinary treatment.

Funded on Tuesday, 9th February 2021

    Story

On 9/2 whilst out on his walks, Hamish was involved in an accident that resulted in a severely broken and dislocated jaw. Through the kindness of strangers, we were able to get him to the emergency vets. We were told that his jaw was severely broken and dislocated and that he needed specialist treatment. We were referred to Fitzpatrick Vets. We were told that the cost of his treatment would be £6,500. Luckily, we have pet insurance. Unfortunately, this would only cover £2,000 of the treatment costs. We need your help to help is raise the rest.

Hamish brings so much joy to our lives. He is an irreplaceable member of the family. He is gentlest, most loving dog you can imagine. Hamish is also a therapy dog for mum who suffers from depression. He is priceless.

If you do decide to donate, know that we will never ever be able to thank you enough. But also know, you will have helped to heal an extremely special and loved dog.

    Thank you

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the support we have received so far. It has made an enormous difference! Hamish is doing really well since his accident and operation and is now well on the road to recovery, if not fully recovered!! We are now taking extra care to help rebuild his confidence as he is a bit more anxiety prone since the accident but otherwise he is pretty much back to his old self! Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas with much love and appreciation from us. Thank you!

Hamish has had his operation. It was quite a complex operation and he now has an acrylic jaw! He was subdued the morning after his operation, but that’s to be expected. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him but we will keep you posted every step of the way. We don’t have any recent pictures of Hamish but here’s one we took a while ago. Thank you so much for all your support so far! ❤️

I hope you reach your target and Hamish gets the surgery he needs. He must be so traumatised. Why is there not a kind vet out there who would be prepared to help in such an extreme situation!
