Story

Megan is a vulnerable 18 year old young lady however due to a learning disability, autism and ADHD she is mentally and emotionally younger.

On Monday 15th July, police vans, a doctor, a social worker and nurses turned up at Megan and Shona's home, their safe space. They demanded to be let in or they would use force to break the door down. Shona had no choice but to let them in as they had a warrant.

While her mum Shona was pinned down and cuffed, Megan was forcibly removed from her home by 4 police officers. Home is her safe place. She was sectioned and taken to an unknown Mental health facility. It was several hours before they found out where she was.

Megan has ARFID and is severely underweight. Having ARFID means she eats very specific foods. She is not being given access to these "safe" foods.

She is basically starving to death while being locked away from her family, from the very people she needs. They are not allowed to see her. The ward is refusing to speak to Megan's mum.

We desperately need to raise money so that they can pay for a private expert on ARFID to visit the facility and liaise with the staff and educate them on ARFID and neurodivergence.
Ideally, we want Megan removed and treated in a medical setting for her malnourishment. She is in desperate need of re-feeding, which needs to be closely monitored by

Megan is suffering horrendous trauma. She is being mentally, emotionally and physically abused. She will no doubt require counselling/therapy to help her overcome the trauma.
Shona is also suffering untold trauma and may also require therapy/counselling via a private route.

ALL monies raised will be used for Megan's benefit in some capacity.
