Stacie is 31yrs old with a rare genetic disorder called Von-Hipple Lindau Syndrome, which tumours grow on your major organs (brain,spine,eyes,kidneys,pancreas) some tumours turn to cancer if not treated quick, 1 in 36000 has this rare gene. So far she's had many operations to remove them, her latest ones have been a brain operation to remove a tumour on the brain stem (cerebellum). She's recently had radiotherapy for lung cancer which had spread from her kidneys. Stacie married her childhood sweetheart Gavin and then had their two sons.. everything was perfect.. then at 24 she became poorly and was diagnosed with vhl.. she had to give up work and her life changed dramatically.. hes a wonderful husband and last year he gave up work to care for stacie and their boys one of which sadly has this gene and has just had his first operation to have a tumor removed at age 11. There is no funding available and Stacie needs a light-weight wheelchair... as hers is too heavy and keeps braking.. having this would make all their lives so much easier! So please help stacie get a light-weight wheelchair!!
