We are behind with our rent and are very close to losing our home of 18 years. (have a court date to discuss repossession). I was on JSA but it got stopped due to missing some appointments because I was ill, but I am apparently not ill enough for ESA, so we are stuck in the middle. The problem is that when my benefit stops, so does Housing Benefit and the Rent doesn't get paid. Also my 19 year old son has learning difficulties and although he attempted college, he could not cope with it and so had to leave, which now means he is a non dependant (because his claim for PIP was unsuccessful), This now means that not only are we behind in the Rent with no income at all, but I also have to pay part towards the Rent too.
