Story
(Have a look at my video - it explains the below and you get to see Bon Bon)
We set up Just Giving fundraising page a few months ago and raised around 1600 for Bonnie - thank you to those who donated - the money is kept safe in Bonnie's savings account.
However, at that time, the vet told us he couldn't do anything until Bonnie is fully grown - which she now is - but it is going to cost more than we thought.
We have £1600 and for a prosthetic leg it will cost 2k - so nearly there! If, however, we can raise more, we can get her an implanted leg - which will last a lifetime (rather than a prosthetic - where they will need to be replaced as she gets older), but this will cost around 15k!!!
The vet has also said he can try to reconstruct Bonnie's nose/jaw, and we are meeting with him tomorrow (15/11/16) to see what he thinks - we do not want to put her under the knife if the benefit is simply cosmetic - we love her as she is! BUT if it will help her in the long run, to breathe and eat properly - we will do it for her, but that has been estimated at 2k
So all round that's either 4k or 17k, so that is a £2400/£15400 deficit ... eek!
SO, if you do have any spare pennies - Bonnie, Ross and I will be hugely appreciative.
Thank you all in advance,
Kate, Ross, Bonnie, Baxter, Bella and Pep
