I've raised £500 to Help towards diabetes medication for my cat.

Hi,
As the title says I’m trying to raise funds for my cat, Arthur, who was diagnoised with diabtetes eleven months ago. After months of trying to get him regulated to no avail, our vet ran a blood test and we found out he has a benign pituitary tumour that causes his pituitary gland to over-secrete growth hormones, which brings on insulin resistant diabetes; it’s a syndrome called feline acromegaly, which causes him to need more and more insulin to try and keep the diabtetes semi regulated.
After doing some research we found a medicine that had been used in a few studies that had been done at veterinarian colleges that can help with the pituitary hormones its called Galastop and the active ingredient in it is called Cabergoline and it’s usually used in female dogs who have a false pregnancies to stop her secreting hormones, but studies found it can help in cats to help with the pituitary gland secreting the hormone.
Arthur has been on this medicine for the past two months and has been doing so much better, he‘s put on weight, he is no longer as hungry or drinking as much water, and he is generally doing so much better with the help of both of his medications. We’re hoping and have everything crossed that within another couple of months the Galastop will help to stop him needing as much insulin, because at the moment he is still needing quite a big dose of insulin to help keep the diabtetes controlled, which means going through a bottle of ProZinc (insulin) a month at a time instead of sixty days, because he’s on such a big dose at the moment.
I am a carer to my disabled mum and for the past eleven months we have been doing all we can to survive on the money we have and pay for his medication, cutting back as much as we possibly can because our animals are our family and we do all we can for them and will continue to do so, even if that means asking for your help and living on beans for the rest of his life!
With that said as costs rise (his insulin in just the last month has gone from £83 to £90) and his need for more insulin has increased and the add on cost of the medication to help with the hormones, we’re finding it increasingly difficult and so I’m asking for some help. I know everyone is finding things tough and I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t have to, and any thing big or small would help us to keep giving our Arthur the medication that helps him keep living as healthy a life as possible with his condition.
Thank you so much for reading our story and thank you for any help you are able to give.
