I was attacked back in 2008 by a completely random drunk man and his rotwieller and started to use a wheelchair in late 2009 but it was a manual so it meant I was completely reliant on other people being around to take me to my appointments and I had no independence.

The trauma of the attack bought on a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. In October 2013 I was hospitalised completely unable to move and it was recommended that I purchase an electric wheelchair because my mobility is failing me, I can't stand or walk unaided (I use a stick) and I can't stand or walk for long at all, every one of my joints and sockets dislocate on a daily basis and it means that I can be standing when suddenly my legs give out underneath me - usually it means my hips and knees have dislocated.

My condition in progressive and I will get worse but I try to be as positive as possible however at the moment I'm housebound again and at 26yrs old I want to give up life completely, I have no independence again without a wheelchair so I'm struggling to find positives other than the good man beside me and these amazing friends I have
