Story

Patience is a 14-year-old girl from Voi, Kenya. She’s a bright and ambitious student who loves to read, right and learn new things. She dreams of becoming a teacher, a lawyer or a journalist someday. Her family are subsistence farmers who struggle to provide for their 6 children.

She is very inteligent and in fact won a scholarship, with the highest marks, to a good boarding school. However when the funding committee found out that she had distant family in the UK, she was denided the funding. She has never even met this family, and so this is very unfair on her, and as you can imagine heartbreaking.

Term starts next week and we are trying to raise the years fees for her to take up this oportunity to attend the school, that will enable her to break the cycle of poverty and live out her dream. We will need more for her in time, to buy books and travel to see her family, however this is the amount we need right now.
