THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME, UNLESS...
24th of June 2016 we all woke up to a different Britain.
British nation had voted and 'decided' to leave European Union.
It is still hard to say what it means for Brits and even harder to say what it might mean for minorities, including us Poles.
Additionally, the politicians who helped fuel a steep rise in racist hate crimes during and after the EU referendum, built their popularity on anti-immigrant rhetoric. This unfortunately includes the Prime Minister, Teresa May, who has on a few occasions refused to give any reassurances to EU nationals after the Brexit vote.
There is one thing which is certain: politicians can't be trusted. We need to take our destiny into our own hands. Many of us Poles treat Britain us our home. We are part of communities, we have our friends here, we work, pay taxes, we contribute - not to mention our kids, who in many many cases were born here. To them. Poland is just a country where vacations are taken.
WE NEED TO TAKE THINGS INTO OUR OWN HANDS.
In order to secure our future, we need to overcome some bureaucratic obstacles. As you can imagine, the law has changed recently and things have become even more complicated. From my own experience, it is clear that most people, even those who have a bit of experience dealing with filling in forms on daily basis, will find it difficult to go through over 80 pages of 'legal gibberish'. Yes, 80 pages. And this is only when the 'fun' begins.
Let's start with the small things. Let's start with £15k, which would allow me and my friends to help others overcome their bureaucratic obstacles and secure their legal status. We will create a help-line for Poles who are confused about legislation and about what forms they need obtain and complete. We would also double check their forms before forwarding them to the right authorities.
