My name is Susan and West Dunbartonshire Council are planning to take my field away from me by compulsory purchase if I do not willingly sell it to them. The council intend to put three roads through my land, however with some alterations to their plans they could easily bypass my field and still have their roads.

My field was not bought as an investment, it was to give my 4 ponies a home. It provides peace of mind that I never need to worry about being able to afford them if my finances take a downturn.

This field is greenbelt and as well as a home for my ponies it is a place where I carry out a lot of projects to help wildlife. I have planted over 200 trees, a rosehip hedge, am in process of renovating a wildlife pond (which now has frogs and newts in it) and I have also planted a wildflower/ wildgrasses meadow.

Our future plans if we get a chance to carry them out are to put up bird and bat boxes as well as plant a memorial orchard.
This field is also the final resting place of my pony 'Lady' (I owned her for 29 years). Lady is buried in the corner of the field and if these planned roads go ahead her grave will be desecrated and we do not want this to happen.

We encourage independent living groups and those with special needs and/or disabilities to visit our field to help with the ponies and with the wildlife projects. We would love to be able to continue to do this as it so beneficial to them, however without the field this sadly will no longer be possible.

Please help us to fight back as we need as much support as we can to ensure our field is saved. We need to pay for a consultant and this will cost around £1,500. So far we raised £800 towards this total and we would be very grateful if you could help us reach our target.
