****UPDATE****

I am flying out to Krakow on the 10th of June to return to Fundacja Folkowisko for another 5 weeks to help again (as those who follow me on Facebook already know, so if you would like to follow me click the link). My first trip out there I stayed for 8 weeks, started out cooking for all of the volunteers which was really needed (until my arrival the vegan/veggy volunteers were living off sandwiches). I was also able to spend a day with medics on the Ukrainian side of the border and see what and how people were being helped. As well as spend the day in Lviv where I was handing out, with help from Anna an 18 yr old Ukrainian student who was translating for me, welcome packs to refugee children (welcome packs were backpacks full of food/drinks, soft toy and books or colouring bookings and crayons). After 2-3 weeks of being the cook I moved into the clothing warehouse, where I was sorting through boxes and bags full of clothing that had been sent to us from all over Europe and the UK, which once sorted was boxed up put on pallets and sent out daily to Ukraine.

While all of this was happening I was raising money here to buy food, which got upto £1866 just short of the target of £2000 but was still able to buy a lot of food seen on photos below. On my return this second time, would LOVE to be able to do the same again with the help of all you lovely people who still want to help Ukraine and its people. So I have raised the target to £4000 and would love to this target get crushed. Ukraine is still in serious need of help with food even though the media some days don't even mention Ukraine or the war. There is still a huge food shortage in the country and millions of people who have nothing other than what they can carry. So even to those people who have donated before (which I am truly thankful for your support) would like to donate a little more as well as new people yet to donate please donate to me here. All money is used ONLY for food and water if needed, there is no NCO/charity involved with the money. So I can promise you 110% that all money will be spent on food, I use my own money to cover the extra cost as I buy more than what's raised. I cover my own travel cost and the charity I work with gives me food and a place to sleep.

Hi, I am a chef living in Llanelli, and working at the renowned FairyHill wedding venue on the Gower. I have many friends over several years in Russia and Ukraine and travelled to both countries. I am horrified and upset with what is happening in Ukraine and want to do something practical to help so....

On the 14th of March I will be flying to Poland and going across the border into Ukraine for the next two months with the aim to get supplies and aid to civilians near the front lines. I will be working with Fundacja Folkowisko non-profit organisation based in Poland. To do this we will need your help, we are in serious need of support with the on going war. The work won't just stop once we have got the supplies out, many of the civilians fleeing are women and children as well as the old. Once the vans are empty we are loading as many of these people on board to take them to the Polish border.

Any donations big or small will be greatly valued. I also have an Amazon wishlist (click here). So if anyone who would like to help us by sending goods please contact me for the address via facebook. It does not need to be from the wishlist as there is a lot of stuff not on there yet like: Nappies, baby food, warm clothing or thermal, good foot ware, bedding and roll mats. High energy dry foods, boiled sweets, hygiene products (specially ladies hygiene products), toothpaste, toothbrushes and dare I say it toilet rolls!.. Pain medication paracetamol. I will try to update the wish list as often as I can.

All money raised will be used for food and water, medical supplies, hygiene products and baby supplies, blankets, clothes and so on. To give to the civilians near the front lines and at the border.

If anyone can not make donations or order from the wish list that's fine, but can I ask you to please share this fundraiser with your friends list. Doing this will also help us a great deal which we are truly thankful for.

During the time I am there I shall be doing video's of the work being done as well as some live streams which will be on my facebook just send a request and I will accept. Then you can see how much your donations or gifts are helping and not miss anything.

Thank you for your support.

Also thanks to my family who will be looking after my dog while I'm away, and thanks to my bosses Fairyhill Gower for being understanding and letting me do this and take the time off work.
