Aslan is, 8 yes old. He is a Traditional gypsy Cob. 13.2 hands. He is beautiful.
He was badly neglected by his previous owner where he was left standing in his own mess and water for months causing his feet to rot away. His frogs are extremely contracted and his hooves are weak and flakey . He has been surgically trimmed to improve the blood supply and encourage his frogs to grow. He's not allowed to get them wet or muddy. He needs daily applications of special antibacterial spray on his feet and Stockholm tar. The Farrier will be back in two or three weeks to check progress and change treatment if necessary. It will take six to twelve months for his frogs and feet to grow back and there is a risk of deformity.
We're asking for any help you can give so we can get the funds to continue his treatment over the next year.
Please help Aslan he deserves a second chance and his faith restored in humans. Let's show this pony what real love means. The last person to promise him the world betrayed him. Now we want to make it right. We just need your help.
