Henrik Tuxen passed away far too early on September 2, 2020… He was much loved and respected by many, in his various walks of life…

sadly, due to Covid restrictions, it was hard for all his many friends to say goodbye properly.

So his family and friends proposed to put a Memorial bench in his beloved Chiswick, to help us all remember Henrik’s friendship, loyalty, intelligence, kindness and fairness. He touched many lives & hearts. He will not be forgotten.

Since Henrik left us, we found the ideal bench : designed for the Copenhagen 1888 world exhibition, and present all around his native town. It has been tailormade in Denmark (from renewable wood) to fit exactly. It was installed in October 2021 by a team of close friends. We hope many will enjoy it over the years to come - and we will remember Henrik through it as we pass.

Many friends have already kindly contributed, so this is “take 2” of the fundraiser - we hope it will cover the little left, and maybe even allow us to place a (simpler) bench along the bicyclepath Henrik used so often while in Tisvildeleje, Denmark.
