Heslington Cricket Club are a small family orientated club based in the village of Heslington York. In recent years we have invested time and effort building a junior cricket section and improving our facilities. We currently have no permanent netting facilities, the mobile nets we have are not fit for purpose and make it very difficult to coach the children effectively.

Our vision (see image below of what we would like) is to install a 2 lane outside net facility with artificial surfaces, this will be available for the local community to use and enjoy alongside Heslington Cricket Club members.

We have invested time and effort in planning for what we hope to be a 2021 season (pending government and ECB approval). Getting children and adults outside playing sport has to be a positive, improving physical and mental health.

We anticipate that the cost will be in the region of £36,000. So far we have run sponsored events, obtained grants funding and run a crowdfunding page and have raised around £20,000. This fundraiser is the next step towards that goal, we will be applying for match funding from Sports England for donations made on this page.
