Home Instead Team in Norfolk and Cambridge Embarks on a 5 Million Steps Challenge for Dementia Care.

In a heartfelt initiative, the dedicated team at Home Instead in Norfolk and Cambridge will be taking on a collective challenge to walk 5 million steps throughout the month of February. This ambitious endeavour aims to raise funds for a noble cause – providing a specially designed digital activity table to a local dementia café.

Home Instead Norfolk, a family-run business since 2008, operates from offices in King’s Lynn, Holt, Hingham, and Cambridge. Their inception stems from the owner's first-hand encounters with subpar care, compelling them to establish a service dedicated to surpassing expectations. The company's core values are deeply embedded in both office staff and Care Professionals, highlighting the significance of compassionate and person centred quality care. Their commitment to changing the lives of their clients extends to the local community, where they strive to enhance lives by offering care and support that enables individuals to lead fulfilling lives within the comfort and security of their familiar surroundings. With the unwavering support of the local Home Instead offices, their dedicated team of Care Professionals provides a comprehensive range of in-home care services throughout the area, ensuring round-the-clock assistance for those they serve.

The large touchscreen technology embedded in these dementia-friendly tables offers a unique and enriching experience for individuals with varying abilities. Unlike conventional devices, the large screen app provides an immersive interaction, contributing to improved well-being, a heightened sense of happiness, and a greater sense of achievement. These interactive tables are proven to combat boredom, stimulate cognition, and introduce innovative entertainment avenues for those living with dementia.

The Home Instead team invites friends, family, and colleagues to join them in making a difference to the local communities.

The team will record their daily steps using fitness trackers and apps on their phones and share their success via our central team in Swaffham.
