Story
Me and the students who are studying our BAcc Accountancy Honours will not be rewarded with a graduation ball at the end of our course. This is something I felt strongly about organising to reward us all because for most of us this has been a 4 year process for me personally it has been 6 years and we have not gave up. As many people know graduation balls are expensive so I want to minimise this cost for my class mates and give them a good night. So we are trying to raise money for extras like a dj and photographer we didn't want to be selfish though so decided that whilst trying to raise money for ourselves we should raise some for charity. The charities we are raising money for are glasgow childrens hospital charity, the meningitis research foundation and show racism the red card. For every pound donated the three charities get 25 pence each and the remaining 25p goes to our ball. The meningitis research fund is one of the chosen charities because a UWS student Jennifer died of meningitis recently so it would be nice to support this cause. The Glasgow children's charity is another one close to our hearts as most of us have kids and it is never known when we might need to use that service and lastly show racism the red card they had some funds cut and it would be nice to raise money for them any little donation would be so helpful whether this be a pound or two. Thank you for reading our story x
