On the 18th June a group of us will be taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride to help raise money for new sensory equipment for my mum’s care home. Having not ridden a bike since my teenage years, this is a huge challenge for me!!

Maple Lodge, which is part of Horncastle Care Centre, is a wonderful home which cares for 10 adults with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions and has cared for my mum since her accident where she suffered a severe brain injury in 2012. Sensory equipment has proved massively beneficial for all of the patients and it would be great to give a little back for all the care and support they have given not just to my mum but us as a family.

Along with the bike ride we are also organising a fundraising day at the Watermill Inn in Burgess Hill, West Sussex on 28th May.
